From Joccia with Love

The war between the Ferach Empire and the Dark Czar of the Witchlands rages on, but once upon a time it was thought that Great Britorcn could assist the Czar against their common enemy. While this turned out not to be as true as some in Londinium would have liked it did mean the dispatch of over a thousand troops to the Witchlands to serve the Star Wraith.

Once these brave Orcs, Rats and other reached the icy hell of the Witchlands they learned of their awful fate. For the Dark Czar has little use for mortal soldiers, he prefers Zombies for their undying loyalty. Soon the Moskova Grenadiers and other battalions were formed from the Albion Expeditionary force and all the soldiers were dead, or dead at least to their former countrymen.

However a few survived and even flourish and among them was Vermin, once a captain in the 1st battalion of the 71st Foote, who ensured his life by training skirmishers. You see the Undead do not make good light infantry, they have not the mind for it!  Vermin is sure the Liches of the KGB are after him, but while he is useful he will live...at least for now.

Uniform Details

The uniform worn by Vermin consists of items he originally had in his possession and some he now posseses. A red jacket with white shirt and a tartan kilt. Black boots and a blue tam o’shanter with red pom pom. His fur is light brown and he has many yellowing teeth.

Flintloque Rules

In your games of Flintloque treat Vermin as follows:

The character of Vermin is a Highland Rat of Veteran / Light Infantry / Elite status who is armed with a MkI Dwarf Musket and his lethal teeth. With his equipment and special abilities here he costs 81 Points.

In play Vermin may add +1 to his section’s Initiative roll each turn however he suffers a -1 to his own Discipline rating as well.

Vermin’s teeth are lethal weapons and this results in him being able, with a successful melee attack, he may add +2 to the Impact of that attack upon his foe. He may make one bite attack per turn only.

Vermin also carries a flask of highly volatile spirits which at the start of the turn after he has been forced to take a Steady Check (regardless of whither he passes or fails it) he rolls 1D10.

On a result of 1-6 he takes a large swig and is then considered to be drunk for the rest of the game. A result of 7-10 means that Vermin resists the urge to take a draw and instead may throw the flask, at any future point in the scenario, as if it were a Grenade. The player may elect to make it either a Standard Grenade or an Elf Fire Grenade.

Rules for Drunkenness can be found in D&A Demon Drinke (Distractions & Asides No 1) which is available free from Alternative Armies upon request.

Slaughterloo Rules

Vermin (Special Unit Officer) (50 Points)

Vermin has not been an officer of a large formation for quite a while but he has some talents at it none the less. He may command any Light Infantry Unit of mortal characters or a unit of Undead Line where he is treated as its officer for all purposes.

Day ma Duty!: Vermin excels in melee combat and this infuses his troops as well. Each turn his unit may add +2 to its Melee Mod rating in all combat.
